Novocastrians Against Nuclear

Description: 
Novocastrians Against Nuclear (NAN) are a grassroots group, based in Newcastle, Australia. We are opposed to uranium mining, nuclear power, and nuclear/radiological weapons. The only two options for uranium is that it becomes nuclear power (and then intensely radioactive waste) or nuclear weapons. We believe that Australia, with it's 40% reserves of the world's uranium has a crucial role to play in ending the nuclear cycle by refusing to mine uranium.
